Part B Medicare
Annual Deductible:
Part B Medicare has an annual deductible, and the following services are subject to this deductible. Medical Expenses In or Out of the hospital and outpatient hospital treatment, such as physician’s services, inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services and supplies, physical and speech therapy, diagnostic tests, durable medical equipment (Canes, Walkers, Wheelchairs, Scooters, Oxygen).
After the Annual Deductible:
Medicare will generally pay 80% of Medicare-Approved amounts, except Clinical Laboratory Services (Tests for Diagnostic Services) pay 100%
Medically necessary services:
Services or supplies are needed to diagnose or treat your medical condition and meet accepted standards of medical practice.
Preventive services:
Health care to prevent illness (like the flu) or detect it early, when treatment is most likely to work best.
You pay nothing for most preventive services if you get the benefits from a health care provider who accepts An agreement by your doctor, provider, or supplier to be paid directly by Medicare, to take the payment amount Medicare approves for the service, and not to bill you for any more than the Medicare deductible and coinsurance.
