Medicare Supplement Select Plans

Depending on what zip code you live in, you may be able to buy another type of Medigap policy called a Medicare Supplement Select Plan. It’s a Medigap policy that requires you to use specific hospitals and, in some cases, specific doctors to get full benefits; however, typically, it’s hospitals.

A Medicare Select plan pays the Medicare Part A inpatient deductible when you use a network hospital or a non-network hospital for emergency care. Otherwise, you pay the inpatient deductible.
